The Tangshan Media Building locates in Tangshan City, on the new city axis, which is the starting point of city entrance. The main design features include: Broadcasting and TV Office Building, annex building as performance district, Office building of the Workers Daily Express, and Express Printing Center. The total construction area is 227,750 square meters, and the highest building is 186.25 meters.
The idea of the program begins from the tradition and history of Tangshan, and extension of the new city. The design focuses on the coordination of urban space, establishing a hallmark of the city, the character of the media building, showing architectural features and city image. The construction of the building is mainly steel structure. The construction framed form a architectural aesthetic net system. At the same time, through cutting the body, the tower will have a good view from every viewpoint. The annex building is used as performance halls, landscape and sightseeing places. The annex buildings expand themselves horizontally and direct combine with the earth, plaza and green, which can activate the city gateway, highlight the features of digital media and represent the media culture to the public.
