Jinjiang Expo Plaza locates in the exhibition zone according to the Jinjiang western main city planning, with a total floor area of 100,000 square meters. The plan seeks to create a viable link for the economic development of Jinjiang. Combined with terrain, five exhibition hall are arranged in a line, with elevation rising one by one and the site is biult into terraces. In order to avoid too huge building mass, the main functions: conference and exhibition are designed into seperate bodies and connected through the main entrance plaza. At the same time, the main entrance plaza could be a emporary exhibition space during exhibition, while serve as a public leisure and entertainment plaza to maintain vitality during non-exhibition. In the center of the plaza, banyan-like structure both plays a role as the storm shelter and as a sign of the local characteristics in eastsouth of China, catholicity and diversity .
