Beijing Wukesong Sports & Culture Center locates in the west of Beijing City, close to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Sports hall. The complex consists of six office buildings, a hotel, an integrated sports & culture center and a large shopping mall and the GFA accounts for 500 thousand square meters. The design proposes the “Environment and ecology-based Complex Facilities Group” concepts which can best present Beijing's future development, and emphasizes the positive meaning of the construction in natural and human environment. In the design, yards, terraces, roofs and corridors are organically organized together which has changed the traditional closed internal and external space. The design aims to break the inherent business model through the dynamic flowing route, maximize uses of the environmental factors, create a healthy shopping atmosphere, show the theme of “Green and Ecology”, and finally completely integrate the economic and social benefits of this project.
