The Tianjin Digital Television Tower is located in the southern central city of Tianjin; the project occupies a total area of about 24.61 hectares, with about 18.46 hectares for construction, and plans a total building area of 200 thousand square meters. The project includes three parts: digital TV Tower, Tianjin digital broadcasting Tower, and Tianjin digital network Tower, and is planed in two phases: first for digital TV Tower, second for the others. The surrounding environment is good, close to the Youyi Road. About 4 kilometers to the south is the outside ring of the city. After the completion, the digital TV Tower will become another landmark building in Tianjin. The city Tianjin was born because of the Haihe River, therefore, Tianjin is also known as “the end of nine rivers” and “gateway of sea and rivers”. The continuously flowing Haihe River has experienced the city history through hundreds of years and represents as a symbol Tianjin, which is today fully under high-speed development. The overall idea of the program is based on the Haihe River. For the design, different architectural features are formed as polyline, which expand them along the horizontal direction up and down. Besides, the use of sunken plaza and Green slopes can form the undulating terrain, which responds to the building form, enriches the layers of Youyi Road.
