The Northeast Dianli University is located in the Changchun Road, Jilin, Jilin province, surrounded by mountains and rivers, which is easy of access. The site is located in the south side of the new campus, near to the south gate, faces to the Changchun Road. The north side of the site is teaching area, the west side is a wanted stadium. The site is divided into two parts. The south part is the library, the north part is the new teaching building, which is connecting to the existing one. All of these parts are gathered into an enclosed space. The library and the new teaching building are connected by a corridor which is using small scales based on human-being. An inner courtyard is set up between the building and the corridor. The north side of the library faces to the open square. Designers used colonnade to divide spaces, in order to stress the penetration and to create a communication space. As the main entrance for walking people, the west side of the library faces to the old campus and the new campus gate. The south side faces to the Changchun Road, which used a simple, consistent façade to show the library’s character to the city. The logistical entrance is set up on the east side of the library. The entrance of the classroom building is on the north side.
